Reservations can be made by telephone, on our website or email, a valid credit or debit card. is required to secure the booking.

Cancellation

Due to the Covid pandemic we will not charge the card except in the event of a no show

Free cancellation upto 1 week prior to booking commencing.

If a booking is cancelled at short notice and we are unable to re-let the accommodation we reserve the right to charge our standard bed and breakfast rate for all the nights booked.
We recommend guests to consider taking out holiday insurance to avoid unnecessary expense in the event of cancellation.

 

Special events such as Christmas, New Year, functions, weddings and bookings for 6 days or more require a 50% deposit to secure the booking followed by full payment 30 days prior to the event.
Deposits are non-returnable, although in certain circumstances they may be carried over to a future booking.

Covid19 Policy

Eating and Drinking

Please sanitise your hands before entering Brook House and please don’t enter if you have any symptoms of Covid19 or feel that you may have been in recent contact with someone with the virus.

 

 

Please login on the NHS track and trace app  using the qr code provided. 

if we have space, please wait to be allocated a table, keeping socially distant from other customers. Please be patient, keeping us all safe means everything takes a little longer. You cannot just rock up and sit where you like, please try and avoid moving or swapping tables.

The government  says face coverings are a good idea and should should be worn until you are seated to eat or drink. 
 

We are working hard to make sure we can  stay open safely for you and our staff.


BOOKING A TABLE - In order to make it fair for all customers, we will be taking bookings in 2 hour time slots only, staggered to avoid crowding at the point of entry. This is likely to become less important as we move into the quite winter months.

Due to the size of our tables and the makeup of your group you may be required to sit separately, please be respectful of this.

 We have been busy moving tables around to provide more spacing and more Covid compliant dining ie back to back for different groups.

Toilets will work on a one in one out system.
Ordering will be done via table service at your table.

Our menu is available by QR code for your phone or we have paper copies

 

Overnight Stays

Time slots for breakfast, and a pre order will be required, To limit contact between customers and staff, rooms will not be tidied during your stay. Fresh towels etc will be available, when you check out please leave windows open and bag up any rubbish. Thank you.

PLEASE remember that we are all learning, bear with us at this strange time, we are doing these things to keep everyone as safe as possible but please also enjoy yourselves Eskdale has missed you!

Pets

Dogs and other creatures are allowed in the bar and snug only, we reserve the right to refuse entry to dangerous animals.
Pets are not allowed into the bedrooms

Minimum Stay

Single night bookings for weekends will only be taken if the other night is already booked. 3 nights minimum over Bank Holidays

Group Booking

We have eight rooms and can sleep upto 19. We kindly request that groups dine with us in the evenings, but you are not required to book Dinner BB. Larger groups can be catered for and alternative accommodation can be recommended.

Smoking Policy

All our rooms are no smoking as are all areas in the building

Single Rooms

Brook House only has double, twin and family rooms, at busy times we only let up to 2 rooms for single occupancy
