With the Covid -19 restrictions in place the dining experience at Brook House is going to change slightly.
Tables will have greater spacing to allow for social distancing, ideally all tables must be pre-booked, but how this goes in practice remains to be seen! On arrival you will be given a table number. We have an app where you can order from your table, and pay by card, or a member of the team will come and take your order. We have reduced our menu slightly to allow us to run a tighter ship with less staff at one time. As per government guidlines If you have not already given us your details you will be asked for contact details. on arrival, subscribing to our wifi or ordering via our app will give us the required data.
We always reserve tables for our residents.
The evening menu is the same throughout the Inn with specials on the blackboards. Residents on dinner bed and breakfast may choose 3 courses and coffee from either the menu or specials board.
Special menus can be created for any occasion, and the restaurant can be booked as a whole so long as we are given enough notice.
The Snug area just off the bar, with open fire in winter, seats upto 21 (in normal times!) and can be booked as a whole or or individually. One table seats eight (10 if some are children) in a square which is nice for family groups.
Smaller parties of less than 12 can be catered for in the Grainstore.
.The Grainstore is the old store room of the Brook House shop which existed until the 1950's. Now with bare beckstone granite walls and plush furnishings it makes the ideal setting for a family party.
Booking is recommended, tables may be reserved throughout the day until 8.30pm
A £50 deposit for groups of 10 or more may be requested.
The service is friendly and informal
