Eating and Drinking
Please sanitise your hands before entering Brook House and please don’t enter if you have any symptoms of Covid19 or feel that you may have been in recent contact with someone with the virus.
All customers will be required to enter from the front bar door or via reception from the carpark.
The bar door from the car park and toilet area will be used as an exit only and also as part of our one way system in times of heavy traffic to the toilets.
Before eating or drinking with us, you must be signed in, this can be done in advance by booking a table or upon arrival after you have been seated.
Please login on the NHS track and trace app using the qr code provided. We are still required to keep our own log of visitors to Brook House Inn.
if we have space, please wait to be allocated a table, keeping socially distant from other customers. Please be patient, keeping us all safe means everything takes a little longer. You cannot just rock up and sit where you like, move or swap tables or sit together in groups of more than 6.
The government law says face coverings should be worn unless you are exempt, until you are seated to eat or drink. You should put your face covering back on when you leave your table.
Several members of staff have medical exemptions which prevent them wearing a mask, if this concerns you please keep your mask on until you have been served.
All customers must retire to their rooms or leave the premises at 10pm.
Parties of more than 6 (unless 1 household or bubble) are not permitted in any tier.
People should adhere to the rules of the tier from which they normally live rather than the tier which they are visiting (ie the rules from the highest tier in the equation should be the one that is followed)
We are not in a position to police this and have to hope everyone will play their part to help control the virus.
We are working hard to make sure we can stay open safely for you and our staff.
BOOKING A TABLE - In order to make it fair for all customers, we will be taking bookings in 2 hour time slots only, staggered to avoid crowding at the point of entry. This is likely to become less important as we move into the quite winter months.

Due to the size of our tables and the makeup of your group you may be required to sit separately, please be respectful of this.
We have been busy moving tables around to provide more spacing and more Covid compliant dining ie back to back for different groups.
Toilets will work on a one in one out system.
Ordering will be done via table service at your table.
Our menu is available by QR code for your phone or we have paper copies
Time slots for breakfast, and a pre order will be required, To limit contact between customers and staff, rooms will not be tidied during your stay. Fresh towels etc will be available, when you check out please leave windows open and bag up any rubbish. Thank you.
PLEASE remember that we are all learning, bear with us at this strange time, we are doing these things to keep everyone as safe as possible but please also enjoy yourselves Eskdale has missed you!
