Many many thanks for a lovely meal last Friday. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every respect - lovely ambience, very good food, excellent beers and fabulous service from all of you, especially our waitress (with the black hair) who couldn't have found us very easy to deal with but who managed it all with a ready smile and made us feel very welcome. She is terrific. Brook House (and its blog) would be enough on its own to lure all eight of us (plus dog) back to Eskdale, quite apart from all the other obvious attractions. Have just spent 4 nights at Brook House Inn, with the most friendliest and helpful staff I have ever met, add to this a menu second to none, perfect and delicious food, then at the bar at least 7 well kept beers.
