Dear Sarah, Gareth and all the wonderful staff at Brook House Inn We would like to thank you all for your hard work during our wedding week. All of our friends and family who stayed with you had nothing but praise for the accommodation and the service they received. All commented on several occasions how good the breakfast was and having tried it myself one morning, I have to agree! Everyone has said that when they return they wish to stay with you again. All the meals from the specials board that we had prior to the wedding were superb. Of special note was the braised pork with Cumberland sausage and black pudding mash which eight of us had. It was for me, the best meal I have ever eaten! The meal on the wedding night was excellent and being all vegetarian, even the hardened carnivores among our guests raved about it. All the staff were very helpful and attentive. The beer as always was excellent both in quality and choice. I must praise the lads behind the bar as however busy they were it seemed that I only had to look in their direction and my order was being taken. We have no hesitation in recommending Brook House Inn for a wedding party or indeed just a first class meal out in a lovely atmosphere. Thanks again. Many many thanks for a lovely meal last Friday. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every respect - lovely ambience, very good food, excellent beers and fabulous service from all of you, especially our waitress (with the black hair) who couldn't have found us very easy to deal with but who managed it all with a ready smile and made us feel very welcome. She is terrific. Brook House (and its blog) would be enough on its own to lure all eight of us (plus dog) back to Eskdale, quite apart from all the other obvious attractions. Have just spent 4 nights at Brook House Inn, with the most friendliest and helpful staff I have ever met, add to this a menu second to none, perfect and delicious food, then at the bar at least 7 well kept beers.
